Abstract: The purpose of this qualitative study is to assess the foundational cultural and worldview needs of Native American peoples in Native Baptist churches in Oklahoma for the purpose of contextualizing curriculum. A limitation upon participants in the study was to those who are members of Native churches belonging to the Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma. The cultures represented within this group of churches is diverse. The population sample revealed shared characteristics and preferences showing a need and desire for contextualized curriculum and materials. Research showed an overarching preference for collective culturally driven curricula that manifests the shared aspects of Native America. The study further revealed the need for technologically accessible and effective resources.
