Abstract submission for the 36th annual conference of the International Society for the Scientific Study of Subjectivity is now open.

The programme committee welcomes submissions on all aspects of Q methodology and contributions inspired by the seminal work of Dr. William Stephenson.

Submission Types

These take the form of a 15-20 minute presentation to a paper session. Papers are normally grouped into thematic sessions of 3 or 4 papers.

These should be no larger than A1 in size (841x594mm) and will be displayed in communal space for the duration of the conference.

This is an opportunity to be imaginative. A panel could take a number of forms such as a set of presentations or a roundtable discussion on a particular theme, an important current debate, or aspects of Q methodology. If submitting a proposal for a panel session, please list the confirmed contributors (minimum of three speakers).

Abstract Submission

Abstracts should be no more than 450 words (up to 600 words for Panel proposals). Abstracts must be submitted on the template available on the Q methodology website.

Abstracts should be emailed to Helen Mason, ISSSS Vice President and Conference Programme Chair at qconference2020@gcu.ac.uk.

Please use ‘Q Conference Abstract Submission’ in the subject line of your email.

Closing date for submission: 22nd May 2020

We would also encourage conference participants to consider submitting a paper for the Brenner Early Career Research Award
