Although I started out as a quantitative researcher, the ability to use Q to capture and describe divergent views and consensus in a group has captivated me. The Q community is nurturing to new and experienced Q researchers. I encourage all Q enthusiasts to attend at least one I4S conference, read Steve Brown, and read William Stephenson.
This community serves as the best long-distance teaching platform to provide technical support to practitioners and to initiate new Q-researchers.

Q methodology is sort of the Gaelic village of social science methods: small, but fierce.
Q conferences are, by far, the most welcoming and nurturing academic events I have ever attended, and the Q listserv is an incredible resource.
