We are pleased to announce that the 40th annual conference of the International Society for the Scientific Study of Subjectivity will take place on the 12th-14th September 2024 at the Kent State University Hotel and Conference Center, Kent, Ohio.
The Q Conference is the only one to provide a multidisciplinary forum for students, academics and professionals to explore the latest research, applications, and developments surrounding the use of Q Methodology.
Larry Baas – Keynote speaker

We are delighted that Larry Baas Ph.D will be the Keynote speaker at the 2024 Q Methodology Conference.
After receiving his B. Ed. at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, Professor Baas taught high school in Beaver Dam Wisconsin. After that he attended Kent State University where he received his M.A. and Ph.D in political science. He taught at the Salem branch of Kent State University for three years and then accepted a position at Valparaiso University where he served as a full time member of the faculty for 41 years. During that time he served as Chair of the Department for 25 years and was the founder and director of the Community Research and Service Center for 25 years. He currently is semi-retired and serves as Senior Research Professor. During his teaching years he taught courses in constitutional law, the judicial process, the presidency, research methods, and political behavior.
His research interests are varied, and he has published articles in a wide variety of journals including Psychiatry, Law and Society Review, the Journal of Social Psychology, Psychological Reports, the International Journal of Political Education, Presidential Studies Quarterly, American Politics Quarterly, the Journal of Politics, the American Journal of Political Science, Policy Studies Journal, Political Psychology, Sage Open, Human Subjectivity, Theory and Q Methodology, The International Journal of Higher Education Research, The Cresset, and Operant Subjectivity. Q methodology has been used in most of this work.
