Abstract: Objective: In this covid-19 pandemic, there is not very sound studies about the extensive socio-economic impact ushered with this disaster. The aim of this work is to understand thought of the youth, their opinion and understanding for various aspects of Covid-19 pandemic. Methodology: Using a combined qualitative-quantitative approach, Q method, we have tried to assess the people’s discernment from different perspectives. This was done through questionnaire survey method, during the national level lockdown 1.0 in India. Results: We have differentiated the perception of youth respondents into 7 factors taking 6 sub-dimensions on Covid-19 pandemic (viz. science, society, environment, economy, politics and religion). The choices and opinions have been segregated into two major groups: quantitatively and qualitatively. There are various topics that arise from this study, like – misinformation, misinterpretation of science, dubious nature of faith in governance and policy, turbid understanding on strategy, polarization of opinion, etc. Following this work of identification, the next steps would be to understanding how to mitigate the problems towards betterment in Covid-19 pandemic situation or similar widespread crisis events in foreseeable future.
